SSAM is a voice&mail solution built to be integrated with and to extend the functionalities of IP Telephony solutions based on the Cisco IP Communications. SSAM collects voice messages when a user is not able to answer a call and allows him/her to access and manage these messages from anywhere, at any time, regardless of access device or media type. SSAM delivers a personal Voice Mail with advanced functionalities of messages management and consultation, leaving users access their voice messages through:
• Web Browser
• E-mail
• IP phone
• Traditional phone (PSTN / GSM / ISDN)

SSAM was conceived for single-site or multi-site distributed architectures. In other words, there must be a one-to-one relationship between the number of Cisco IP Communications and the number of SSAM.
SSAM is built based on different modules:
• voicemail recording
• voicemail notifying
• voicemail managing

- Voicemail access via phone

This is the standard feature that the user can find in all PBX. He/she can dial the voicemail pilot number from his/her phone and directly insert his/her PIN to manage voicemails from his/her ip phone. Or else, the user can dial from outside the company, insert his/her extension number and PIN and access his/her voicemails.

After logging in through the web interface: http://PC_hosting_SAS/fw/ the user can expand the SSAM menu on the left treeview:

Through the Messages link the user can access to new voicemails and :
• Listen through the Play button (or Save As with right mouse click on this button)
• Save the voicemail to the Saved message box with the disk button
• Delete the voicemail with the trash button.

When all new voicemails have been saved or deleted the message waiting lamp will be automatically switched off. Through the Preferences link, the user can access to his voicemail box configuration. There he can enable/disable voicemail SMS notification and voicemail to email forwarding.

With the "Autodelete each message after email is sent" check box, the voicemail will not be stored on the user's voicemail box when the email forwarding is activated.

If the option "forward message to email" on the user web administration is checked, the user will receive every new message as an audio attachment to an email, as illustrated in the image below

    SSAM interacts with the Cisco IP Communications as a traditional H.323 endpoint.

    Server requirements
    SSAM (up 4 ports)
    The Operating Systems supported and required are the following:
    • MicrosoftT Windows 2000 Server with SP4,
    • MicrosoftT Windows XP Professional,
    • MicrosoftT Windows Server 2003 Standard, SBS Edition, Enterprise or Data Center Edition
    The minimum Hardware requirements are the following:
    • High class processor (PentiumT 3.0 Ghz),
    • 512 Mb RAM,
    • 20 GB Hard Drive,
    • 1 Network Interface Card.

    SSAM (from 4 ports and above)
    The Operating Systems supported and required are the following:
    • MicrosoftT Windows 2000 Server with SP4,
    • MicrosoftT Windows XP Professional,
    • MicrosoftT Windows Server 2003 Standard, SBS Edition, Enterprise or Data Center Edition.
    The minimum Hardware requirements are the following:

    License model
    SSAM is licensed per system and per port. This means that each license is able to handle the whole IP Telephony system regardless the number of users.
