SSAM is a voice&mail solution built
to be integrated with and to extend the
functionalities of IP Telephony solutions based
on the Cisco IP Communications. SSAM
collects voice messages when a user is
not able to answer a call and allows
him/her to access and manage these messages
from anywhere, at any time, regardless
of access device or media type. SSAM
delivers a personal Voice Mail with advanced
functionalities of messages management
and consultation, leaving users access
their voice messages through:
• Web Browser
• E-mail
• IP phone
• Traditional phone (PSTN / GSM / ISDN)
Architecture
Back
to top
SSAM was conceived for single-site or
multi-site distributed architectures.
In other words, there must be a one-to-one
relationship between the number of Cisco
IP Communications and the number
of SSAM.
SSAM is built based on different modules:
• voicemail recording
• voicemail notifying
• voicemail managing
Features:
-
Plug&Play Configuration

configure and deploy. You can find below
some screenshot that show this important

Voicemail access via phone
Back

This is the standard feature that the
user can find in all PBX. He/she can
dial the voicemail pilot number from
his/her phone and directly insert his/her
PIN to manage voicemails from his/her
ip phone. Or else, the user can dial
from outside the company, insert his/her
extension number and PIN and access his/her
voicemails.
-
Voicemail access via web
Back

After logging in through the web interface: http://PC_hosting_SAS/fw/ the
user can expand the SSAM menu on the
left treeview:

Through the Messages link
the user can access to new voicemails
and :
• Listen through the Play button (or Save As with right mouse click on this
button)
• Save the voicemail to the Saved message box with the disk button
• Delete the voicemail with the trash button.

When all new voicemails
have been saved or deleted the message
waiting lamp will be automatically switched
off. Through the Preferences link, the
user can access to his voicemail box
configuration. There he can enable/disable
voicemail SMS notification and voicemail
to email forwarding.

With the "Autodelete each
message after email is sent" check box,
the voicemail will not be stored on the
user's voicemail box when the email forwarding
is activated.
